Hi, I’m Mariah Kate.
I am a personal trainer, body empowerment coach, and the heart behind Abundance Training. I created this space for folks who are ready to build a better relationship with movement, food, and their bodies—without diet culture, pressure to shrink, or shame.
Abundance Training was born from my own healing. A few years ago, my life changed dramatically. In the middle of that upheaval, I found myself reimagining everything—including my career. I set out to become a personal trainer, dreaming of a space where people could move joyfully, without focusing on weight loss.
But as I pursued that dream, I realized I wasn’t okay. I was deep in disordered habits and struggling with my own body image. I hit pause on my certification to get the help I needed. In 2023, I entered recovery for binge eating disorder—and it changed my life.
Now, I’m in a place to help others from a place of deep understanding. I know how hard it is to feel stuck in your body. I also know what it means to come home to yourself. This work is personal—and I’m honored to do it.
Why Work With Me?
I bring a unique blend of professional training, lived experience, and compassionate care to every session and conversation. I’ve intentionally pursued education that aligns with my values—so the support I offer is informed, ethical, and grounded in both research and real-world recovery.
These experiences don’t just shape my qualifications—they shape my purpose. I’m committed to creating a space where your goals are honored, your body is respected, and you’re supported with empathy and integrity.
NASM Certified Personal Trainer – Equipping me with the tools to support strength-building and functional movement in a way that’s individualized and safe.
Eating Disorder Training Certification – Completed through the Telehealth Institute, this program deepened my understanding of how to approach fitness and nutrition with clinical awareness and care.
Be Body Positive Facilitator Training – Through The Body Positive, I trained in a social justice–oriented, evidence-based model that centers self-compassion, body trust, and sustainable health.
My Day Job – I currently work for a national eating disorder recovery facility, supporting individuals and families at a critical point in their healing journey. This work has given me a front-line perspective on what ED support looks like—and how to meet people where they are.
